- allow switching between toasts and notifications exclusively without allowing both at the same time
- implement a configurable shortcut key for searching notifications

- pass the proxy settings all the way to toasts in order to download content using the same proxy
- ease up on the breaks between operations when indexing messages
- include CPU usage as another configurable parameter to wait for when starting to background index
- make the amount of time till background indexing starts a configurable setting
